Product Pricing Manager
Pop! Promos is looking to add a strategic and analytical Product Pricing Manager to our growing team to lead our pricing initiatives and optimize revenue growth. As a Product Pricing Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies that align with overall company goals as well as develop and implement factory allocation strategies based on factory relationships, costs, production speed and redundancy targets. Our Product Pricing Manager will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the Product Development and Finance team to build pricing models and analyze product performance. The ideal candidate is comfortable with analyzing cost structures and thrives in a team-oriented environment with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to a large group.
This role is an exempt, hybrid position located in Philadelphia, PA with an in-office expectation of 3 days per week.
Key Accountabilities:
- Leadership, Management & Accountability over the pricing team:
- Provide Leadership, Management and Accountability (LMA) over the pricing team members.
- Align team activities with company priorities.
- Monitor and track progress towards KPIs of the pricing team.
- Manage product pricing:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies based on market research, competitive analysis, product quantity and customer segmentation.
- Conduct regular competitor benchmarking and market intelligence gathering to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to support new product launches and align on pricing and product positioning.
- Understand and manage the company’s cost of goods sold as it relates to production and shipping costs.
- Monitors changes in international trade regulations and tariffs and adjusts pricing to maintain profitability across regions.
- Act as subject matter expert and go-to person on international carrier rates.
- Sign off and review of final pricing models and updates.
- Sign off on special discounts or complex custom quotes.
- Set fulfillment pricing strategy.
- Develop and implement factory allocation strategy:
- Recommend allocation strategies by analyzing production lead times and costing to ensure correct factory allocation
- Advise on negotiations with our vendors for product costing
- Analyze product-level reporting to drive insights for sales and product development strategy:
- Develop and maintain product-level sales reporting tools for the company.
- Analyze trends in product sales by category, SKU, quantity, and ticket size.
- Work with financial data to analyze trends and make recommendations for revenue optimization.
- Maintain accurate pricing data and access in the pricing database
Requirements:
- A Bachelors’ degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in pricing, product management and strategic analysis preferably in a B2B environment.
- Past international or factory travel, particularly for product development, cost analysis or supply chain collaboration as well as experience working with overseas teams is a plus.
- Expert in Excel and financial modeling and strong analytical skills.
- Solid understanding of product strategy and market segmentation.
- Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Self-starter able to work independently to solve problems.
